FIRST    DATE
**************************************************************************************
Finally, the day had come for my first date.  It’s been long awaited.
He’s only 5 days my senior, but mom’s been talking about Davin,
the kid next door since before either of us ever saw daylight.

Attire

Mom got me out of my pajamas and all cleaned up.  She dressed me in my green and yellow outfit with the giraffe on it.  It’s a cute outfit, but geez, I wanted to look all girly on my first date!  To correct the situation, I conveniently spit up on the green outfit.  Mom got the hint and dressed me in my pink and floral romper.  We opted to exclude the lace headband thinking it might be overkill for a lunch date.  I looked adorable!

Davin showed up sporting a dashing Winnie the Pooh jumper with matching hat.  “Mom, He sure is cute, can I keep him?”

The Menu

Our chaperones, hereafter affectionately referred to as ‘the moms’ catered the event with milk and cookies.  That reminds me… “Mom, Where did the cookies go?  I didn’t get any!”

Entertainment

It was a beautiful day outside, but we spent most of our time at my house, just hanging out shooting the breeze.

The moms insisted on keeping us at a distance, but we were able to sneak a little time together every once in a while.  I must have been pretty boring though because he kept falling asleep when I was talking to him.

Goodbye

Well, it was a nice date and I enjoyed it
a lot.  I’m looking forward to getting together again.   As he was leaving, I
tried to give him a kiss goodbye, but he acted gentlemanly and turned away… or maybe I just needed a tic tac.
