Celebrating in Acapulco

July 31, 2003 - Headed to Acapulco, Mexico to celebrate Dad and Mom's 10th Wedding Anniversary.  It was our first trip to Mexico and I was excited to get to use my new passport.

We left early in the morning and flew from Los Angeles to Mexico City, then on to Acapulco.  In the afternoon, we arrived at Las Brisas Resort overlooking the bay.

We were chauffeured to our casitas in one of Las Brisas' signature pink jeeps.  Fresh flowers floated across the pool that was right outside our room.

When the porter opened the door to our room, he looked at Mommy and Daddy, pointed at the coffee table and said "Happy Anniversary."  Written in fresh flowers and cut leaves was a message...

Our friends, the Dominguez family, had called ahead and notified the resort of our special day.

Daddy and I had some quality time.  I was really excited about not having to share him for the next few days...

...We took a short siesta in the afternoon before heading out to catch a dinner show.

The show was one of Acapulco's most famous... the cliff divers of La Quebrada.

How crazy do you have to be to jump off a
100 foot cliff? (That's about 12 stories high!)

Anyway...After they served dinner, I got tired so I took a short nap while Mommy and Daddy watched the second show.

August 1, 2003 -
We spent the day shopping,
then relaxing in the evening .

As you can see, the view was
wonderful from our terrace.

Daddy... Thank you for picking such a nice place for our vacation.

August 2, 2003 - Relaxing at La Concha Beach Club then dinner at Pepo's

Now THIS is what vacationing is all about!

Mmmm.... Nothing quite like a
margarita on a hot summer day!

August 3, 2003 -
At the resort for the day.

Hanging out with Dad at the deli.
(The view down here is pretty,
but not as pretty as ours!)

Time to go swimming!

Like the pool float Daddy bought me at the market?

"It's neat!  Thanks, Daddy!"
Dinner on the terrace on our final evening here.

"What's under here, Mom?"

Yuk, Mom!
NO MORE LIMES!

Can I come in yet?

... and finally... leaving Mexico.

We've had a great time here!

¡Hasta la vista!
